I *really* want to see An Education. And Alice in Wonderland (gotta love Tim Burton)!

Thanks for stopping by! I know, I´m a huge Tim Burton fan and really excited to see what he´s made of Alice. I´ve been waiting ages to see An education, takes a while for films to show in Germany. Hope you enjoy the films :)

I really like “An Education”. After having seen it, I first thought that it is a bit too “smooth” (that is what I think about Nick Hornby´s books). (“Zu glatt” or “ohne Ecken und Kanten” I would call his style of writing in German.)
But, different from other films, this one somehow stayed in my mind for weeks. I guess the topic really intrigued me.

  4. I really want to see Alice in Wonderland on my next cinema trip, even better would be to see it in 3D at an IMAX theatre. An Education looks interesting as well but definitely got to see Alice first.

Yeah, I think watching Alice in 3D is going to be something of a phenomenon :) I´m going to see it next week (will be my first 3D film). Hope you´ll enjoy it!

Dein Deutsch is übrigens sehr, sehr gut! :)

I absolutely loved An Education! The young actress was phenomenal and her lover somewhat creepy “again that word”. I felt somewhat ambiguous on the whole topic of young girls dating much older men theme yet at the same time it’s an age old reality. The setting in the 50′s England demonstrated an innocence of the times yet it was a very moving story of a young girl coming of age. It was done without the crassness of explicit sex scenes and you felt the betrayal felt by our heroine. I have to get a copy of the memoir from which the movie was based on.

I’m waiting for A Single Man to come out on DVD. The actor who protrays the dead lover was also in Leap Year, loved that chic flic. Yes romance again! Colin Firth should have won an Oscar for his role in this movie yet Jeff Bridges did perform incredibly against him.

A movie you should also try is Memento, Chris Nolan director with Guy Pearce. That is an incredible movie with plot twists at every turn. It is a must.

Hmmm I think I’m addicted to this new movie site as well…
Great another to add to my favorites.

Guten tag & danke! Mein deutsch ist nicht gute! Mein francuzi ist gute und mein tibetaine ist “besser”.

    Frau PK Reeves ;P

Glad you loved An Education as well! Haven´t read the memoir either, I´m kind of scared to, because the movie´s so great :)

A Single Man was so great, and I get to read the book for a class this week, yay :)

I actually had to see Memento for uni once, it was a good movie, twist-wise :) I´m curious about his new one, Inception.

Haha, your German´s not that bad! :) French is französisch, what´s tibetaine btw?
